SOLID CONSTRUCTION TIMBER

for demanding timber building work

What is solid structural timber?

Solid structural timber is not a list construction timber, but a high-tech product for timber construction with a future.

Construction solid wood is a visually or mechanically sorted solid wood, technically dried and planed or levelled according to its strength, with a defined dimensional accuracy for the invisible area. Solid structural timber complies with the building supervisory requirements of DIN EN 1995-1-1. It is sorted according to DIN EN 14081-1 with DIN 20000-5 and manufactured according to DIN EN 15497.

Solid structural timber is the ideal product for constructions in modern timber construction. It is made of softwood according to the latest state of the technology.

scope of application

The drying to 15 +/-3 % is a decisive prerequisite for the renouncement of chemical timber preservatives. With appropriate planning and execution, a construction made with solid structural timber can therefore be classified in the use class 0 (according to DIN 68 800-3).

standard cross-sections

Our solid structural timber is produced in standardised cross-sections. The use of such preferential dimensions enables efficient production and short delivery times. This makes the planning and execution of timber constructions even more economical.

  • minimum order quantity: by package, by layers

sorting characteristics and sorting criteria

Only the types of wood specified in DIN EN 1995-1 may be used as construction timber in load-bearing or bracing constructions. Solid structural timber meets the criteria of the sorting class C24 according to DIN EN 338.

finger-jointing

Construction sawn timbers can be produced in practically any length, because individual sawn timber pieces are connected to each other in a force-fit manner along their length.
